Fall victim finds financial relief with a lawsuit loan

January 21, 2006 - Minneapolis, Minnesota

With a lawsuit cash advance, Dorothy was able to receive cash today against the future cash settlement of her lawsuit to keep financially afloat while waiting for a settlement of her lawsuit. After being seriously injured in a slip and fall accident that was not her fault, Dorothy discovered that lawsuit funding from Beacon Legal Finance could change her life.

One spring day in 2003, Dorothy traveled to visit a friend at an apartment complex with disastrous results. While exiting her friend's building, she slipped and fell down several stairs going from the porch landing to the sidewalk. According to court documents, the apartment complex violated city code because a handrail was not available on the stairs. Other buildings in the area all have the required handrail.

As a result of this slip and fall, Dorothy fractured her ankle and suffered knee contusions that have racked up over $10,000 in medical expenses plus she has suffered a loss of income because of missed work. The day after the accident, her orthopedic surgeon determined surgery was necessary and the operation was performed shortly thereafter. Despite the surgery, Dorothy still has severe pain and is unable to stand for lengthy periods, walk for any significant distance or drive for long any length of time.

After her accident, Dorothy hired an attorney and filed a lawsuit against the apartment building and its owner. Although Dorothy expects to receive a settlement from the lawsuit, it takes time for a lawsuit to work its way through the court system. With her bills increasing daily, Dorothy searched for a solution to her financial problems. Dorothy discovered that she could receive cash today if she agreed to give up a portion of the future cash settlement of her lawsuit. The pricing of the lawsuit funding was expensive, but it seemed fair when Dorothy learned that she did not have to pay back the lawsuit funding if her case lost or did not settle for enough cash to pay it back in full.

Dorothy checked out the different lawsuit funding companies that are on the internet. One of the companies that Dorothy found seemed to be different. Their people treated her with professionalism and respect despite her financial troubles. The rates were competitive and the response time was fast. That company was Beacon Legal Finance, a leader in providing lawsuit funding to plaintiffs with high quality lawsuits. Beacon Legal Finance provided Dorothy with financial help from lawsuit funding when she needed it most.
